Method and assumptions
For a single miter at angle α, the set-out (the offset of the cut along the stock) is D × tan α and the cut-face length is D ÷ cos α, where D is the width or outer diameter.
For round tube the same relations apply to the outer diameter, and a separate inner set-out and cut-face length are reported for the inside wall. Treat these as layout marks, not a CNC wrap or fabrication-ready program.
