MACHINING / ACTIVE TOOL

Bolt Circle Coordinates

Generate equally spaced X/Y points from a bolt-circle setup.

Length unit

Enter values and submit to see the result. Generate equally spaced holes for a flange or plate.

Method and assumptions

Holes sit on a circle of the entered diameter, centered on the origin, starting at the start angle and stepping by the pitch angle (360° ÷ count). Angles are measured counter-clockwise from the positive X axis.

Chord is the straight distance between adjacent hole centers. With a hole diameter entered, the edge gap is the chord minus that diameter; if it is zero or negative the holes overlap.

Coordinates are for shop transfer only. They do not include tool offsets, clamping, or machine zero conventions.
